After picking up the bike, I returned to the hotel to re-group. I stuffed a few things in the saddle bags and rode off. I putted around the San Diego freeways, then headed out some 2 lanes to the mountains.

I cruised through Santee, Lakeside, Ramona, Santa Ysabel, and up to a little 4 corners town called Julian. I stopped for some apple/boysenberry pie ala mode.

From there I jumped onto California S1, the Sunrise Highway, up to Mount Laguna.

I headed east to the mountains and looped down to the Mexican boarder. That night I did the coast highway, San Diego Bay, and Coronado.

From the Desert viewpoint, you can look across to the desert below.

I actually took this Saturday in the early morning sunlight against the mountainside.
