I had hoped to get in a rental on this trip, but the conference event schedule was pretty full. Also the Laughlin
River Run was scheduled for the next weekend and all the weekend rental bikes were booked.
The whole group took a bus up the canyon for an afternoon horseback ride along one of the mountains.
It certainly was something off the beaten path, in Vegas. After the bus ride back to the hotel, the day's activities
were done.
I called Las Vegas Harley Davidson to see what was open. I was able to get a bike for overnight, but it had to be back
by 3 PM Thursday. Just the ride I was looking for, a black 2004 Road King, hard bags, and windscreen.
I had to rush against traffic to make it by closing time on Wednesday, and I was the last bike out the door before
the rentals closed. They're on Eastern Ave. at Sahara. Back onto the freeways, and scoot up to Summerlin and back
to the hotel.
